Please let me know if anyone knows of a good doctor that will listen to symptoms and past history of chronic hives.
I got them in 1994 and they were in such a vicious cycle that they would not stop until I had a series of steroid injections and pills for one month. They would calm down and then slowly start up again in the legs and eventually spread everywhere. They are mostly in the legs and buttocks.
It seemed like I would get them when I had sinus infections paired up with stepping foot on a cold surface. Yes, cold floors set off the hives. Even pressure and touch when they were in overtime.

I have a 2 yr old shi-tzu and ever since I got him as a puppy, he has had itching problems. I have taken him to the vet numerous times and the vet just tells me to keep switching his diet. I have switched his diet several times and nothing seems to help. He itches and bites himself all of the time! I feel so bad for him and I don’t know what to do. Sometimes he’ll get better for 2 days or so and then he’s right back to itching like crazy again. Sometimes there are little red bumps, sometimes big bumps and sometimes the skin is just red and raw from his itching or scabbed over. The itching is all over his body, but worse on his lower back.
Here are a few changes/ things I’ve tried: the product Nzymes, adding omega 3 fatty acids, raw food diet, switching dog foods, anti-itch sprays (helps temporarily), treated him for fleas (even though I haven’t seen any on him), only given him dog treats made of 100% chicken, stopped giving people food, hypoallergenic moisturizing creams, hypoallergenic shampoo.

I’m 27 and my skin is dull and dry looking. I have blackheads on my nose that are slowly moving out to my cheeks. I also notice some crows feet starting. (I don’t spend time in the sun anymore and I’m not changing my diet)
What is the best face moisturizer (anti wrinkle and anti aging) cream for women in their late 20′s? Brand names please.

I’ll be 18 years old in 2 weeks. I’m a life extensionist, so I’m trying to slow down aging as much as I can, and stay youthful as long as possible. Obviously when your older, anti-aging can come in many forms, but is it possible at age 17/18? Calorie restriction, diet, exercise, supplements, etc…do these slow down aging for those who haven’t yet started to decline?
I understand I’m nowhere near “old” yet, but what I’m trying to do is preserve youth as long as possible, to extend the lifespan and stay “youth” and healthy as long as possible. it is possible to “slow down” aging along a relative scale….im wondering if it works when you aren’t declining yet

This is aimed at the “Super Moms” or “Super Mom” out there…
I am a vegan but have no intention of raising my son as a vegan. He is 20 months old and I do not want to jeopardize his health by restricting his diet so that he suffers from deficiencies (B12, Iron, Zinc to name a few). I made the informed, well-researched decision to have him fully vaccinated and I do not regret this at all. I have no intention of home-schooling. I am not qualified to teach. I have no teaching experience. If I home-schooled him in the future I know for a fact that he would not be receiving a quality education and it would be biased towards English & Social Sciences (my favorite subjects. I am a Science and Maths failure). I am not anti-tv. He has a favorite show that he watches every weekday morning. I feed him a natural, organic diet which is mainly vegetarian but when he’s at school age and is invited to children’s parties at McDonald’s, I’m not going isolate him, shelter him, ruin his childhood & social life by not allowing him to go. I’m not going to stop him from having treats such as chocolate and ice cream on occasion. So, am I a bad mother?
Rosie, I’m sorry but I only just jumped on the super mom wagon. Only just heard of her a couple of hours ago & just read her profile. I promise, no more questions about her from me…..

Hi everyone,
Ok so first I will say I have a doctors appt for tomorrow afternoon – so I am in no way going to self diagnose or switch meds by myself. I just have a question for anyone who has struggled with severe depression and anxiety – or a mild case of bi-polar.
I have been on/or at least tried most anti-depressants. Prozac worked great for years when I was age 16-21, then it seemed to stop working well.

should a 32 health male that has sustained a left hip fracture 8 yeas ago, and still has pain with no relief, with sings os post injury arthritic complications, and leg length deference by 3/4 inch. have hip replacement surgery. keep in mind he is a great candidate fir this surgery, the only factor keeping him from surgery is his age. if he was 56 or so he would be in the or.
side note. he has tried all conventional methods of treatment.
pain meds, anti inflammatory, pt, ot, pain management, nero rehab, walking device, and diet, with no relieve. and a hip replacement usually last 15 – 20 years before needing replaced.
