Hello I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on a few things. I haven’t had any periods for quite some time now…actually last year I stopped having them in Feb. and have only had one this year in March that lasted for 7 days, but it was just like a regular period it wasn’t very heavy or anything…Now I’ve spotted a tiny bit in between March and now but No actual period…I’m not sure what to do…I have a thyroid problem and am on medicine for that and am also on anti-depression medicine, Could it be my thyroid or anxiety thats causing this-all my major stress started in Feb of last year. (and I’ve also been dealing with the death of mydaughter since 06) and My fiance and I are trying so hard to concieve, will I still be able to get pregnant with not having a period? I’m 22 if anyone needs to know my age to better give advice. Thank you so much for your time and any advice.

I was diagnosed with depression at a very young age, and now that I am 18 I can decide whether or not I want to take my medication or receive treatment. The thing is, my father and pretty much his whole side of the family have this thing where they withhold love, affection, or support to those they perceive as “mentally ill”.
It’s because of my mother, she’s got bipolar disorder and “freaks out” sometimes, and they think all “crazy” people behave like that. Once, I was staying with my father’s family when I was 14 and they actually took away my depression meds. Then they got upset with me when I started crying for no reason a couple of days later.
Should I just ignore the crap they say and take my medicine anyway? I’d really like to feel better and stop being depressed, but I don’t want anyone to think I am crazy.

Hye.
I have kittens which is a month years old. They are still with their mom.
1) They want breast feeding. But I think their mother doesn’t milk anymore cause she refuses. There are bruises on the mother’s breast. Can I start nursing them?
2) Does the kittens need injection? Is it really necessary? What if I don’t give them?

I saw an article on Yahoo the other day. The article mentioned how scientists are developing anti-aging drugs to use in the future. These drugs could potentially stop the aging process so we could live forever. One problem I see with this is the overpopulation of humans on Earth and scientists will be playing God. This could be a hot area of debate in the future. What are your thoughts on this issue?

OK many issues here, but I prefer to deal with this naturally . I HAVE CHOSEN TO GO WITH NATUROPATHS, I AM NOT ASKING YOUR OPINION ON IF THEY ARE GOOD OR NOT. IF I DIE FROM THIS CHOICE, IT IS MY PREROGATIVE.to start with as high blood pressure does NOT run in my family and I had low blood pressure until I got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The natural dr, about 25 years ago told me to eat all the salt I wanted to because I have thyroid issues and when she took me off of it for a period of time, I had no energy. But this past year+, I had been eating tons of salt on tons of popcorn ( emotional eating) and now I found my kidneys are showing signs of “issues’ via a reflexologist/iconic footbath and my blood pressure is high when I wake up and low after I am moving around a lot. Did eating all that salt “ruin” my kidneys ? I have other issues, I have taken anti depressants for years, and am weaning down. I have had a very hot head and it is better, but I am showing signs of something, I have no health insurance , so it is nearly impossible for me to see a naturopath. My health is basically like my dads and he had his carotid arteries cleaned out, but I think in his 70′s ? He just died at age 94 . His dad died of a cerebral hemorrhage at age 70 in 1954. Our family health record is basically very good, but I got CFS. I’m just trying to give as much info as possible
If you have more questions or things I should consider, please tell me, When I go walking, and test my blood pressure, it is in the very normal range, but goes up to 145/85 several times in the day. How can this be, How does the blood pressure system operate in a way that goes down when I exercise ?

These bumps seemed to have started in my oldest daughter when we first moved to a new apartment about 2 months ago. They’re more prominent on the knees, feet, hands and elbows but have spread pretty much eveywhere except her face. Just recently I’ve noticed some bumps forming on my younger daughters hands, feet and knees. My wife and I took the 3 year old to a dermatoligist who said that it looked like “bug bites”. He prescribed a cream (triamcinolone acetonide) and an anti- itch medicine(hydroxyz hcl) which didn’t seem to help at all. We took her again and were told that it was “infected excema”, she was given another cream(locoid lipocream) and an antibiotic(cephalexin). This seems to have stopped the bumps from getting worse, but I don’t know if I would say its the cure. We have a dog we have had him for 3 years, no fleas. The new apartmet is a basement apartment. I’m getting a little nervous now that my younger one is getting the same bumps. I would appreciate any help solving this

Hey everyone. I have an issue with my 11-year-old sister. My mother just informed me that she admitted her into the hospital for cutting herself and possible bipolar disorder. My sister has always had ADHD but from what I’ve heard, it has became worse over the years. She has been in therapy and recently, the therapist prescribed her some sort of anti-psychotic meds to counter the ADHD and possible bipolar. From what I was told, the meds my sister are on are typically not prescribed to anyone under the age of 16, yet, the doctor said they should be fine. Two weeks ago, my sister started cutting herself and talking about suicide. Suicidal thoughts is a huge side-effect with this medicine. Supposedly, even the pharmacists had to make sure that my sister was supposed to take those particular meds due to their extreme side-effects.
So, I guess I’m just asking anyone out there who personally suffers from ADHD and/or depression or knows someone who suffers, and is a minor like my sister, can you give me some advice on what meds might be good to consider and also what might be some possible disorders my sister might be suffering from … something that might not be obvious to doctors or a psychiatrist. Thank you.

My stepmother has been taking DM childrens dose cough medicine, her doctor recommended it to her. But my dad went to the store last night and was told by the cashier that there is an ingredient in it that teen age kids have been using to make a certain drug, and that my step mom should NOT be taking it while she is pregnant, because it can ruin the sack that the baby is surrounded by.
My dad asked if the man was a doctor and he said no, but that he used to work in a hospital. He told my dad that my stepmom should ask the doctor again if it is ok to use this.
She is also mixing antidepressents with it, which the bottle says you should not be doing, does anyone know if this could be a major problem?
I already have done research on the anti depressents and I have found that there have been a number of studies and they don’t seem to have any affects on the growing fetus.
I sould say that the cashier said that she should check with the doctor again because he (the doctor) doesn’t seem to know what he is talking about.
